You might have seen on Instagram I’ve had a LOT going on in my personal life lately. And when I took an unexpected hiatus from the business recently, I didn't once fear that my business was going to fail or stagnate. That’s because I’ve built a sustainable, stress free business model with diversified income streams that bring in the money no matter what’s going on.
So today I’m talking about building a sustainable business and setting yourself up with a safety net for when unexpected circumstances happen. If you don’t know whether your business would survive an unexpected hiatus, I’m sharing some of the things I’ve done over the last four years to build out my business in a sustainable way.
I talk about creating a recurring revenue model so that your business can make money without you needing to actively sell. I share how I structure my business in this way, and what that looks like from a numbers perspective.
When you need to take time out from the business, it’s so important to have a strong support network in place. I like to run a streamlined business with a relatively small team, but the team I have enables me to stay in my zone of genius and they know how to keep things running if I ever need to take time out.
I also talk about an incredibly important aspect of business, and that is learning how to manage and rejuvenate your energy. The physical being and the spiritual being go hand in hand and I share some of the self care practises that I lean on to help me take time out, release stress and cultivate my energy.
A lot of solo entrepreneurs fear an unexpected hiatus. But if you have diversified income streams, a solid network and know how to manage your energy, your business will be not only wildly successful but also sustainable, peaceful and a source of freedom.
